Houston was great. I didn't even mind the steady 95° weather. Expectations for this convention were 8000-9000 people (based on last year's turnout of about 7500 people). There were 13,000 people. Wind energy is becoming a major part of our country's future and the future of many other countries. I am glad that I got to go there and learn so many things about the industry and the key players. By the way Texas is a funny place. EVERYBODY drives a huge truck or an SUV. Seems strange considering the well-paved roads, the city traffic, and the warm weather. I never expected Texans to make much sense (based on the politicians who have come out of there), but they do lead the country in wind energy.
