Why is this website called...?
In the summer of 1999 or thereabouts, some members of this family, not necessarily of their own free will, took part in a Bingo game hosted in the Brooksville Elementary School gym. As fate would have it, the members of said family were all sitting at one table and thus became one Bingo team. And when prompted to choose a team name, Dad/Ralph happily crowed, "Familia de Varnumvilia!!" a choice from which the rest of us could not deter him. The name has stuck, and remains a sweet, if rather unique reminder of how we badly lost a Bingo game, sampled Dad's/Ralph's Spanish, and came to refer to our mosaic of a family as one unit.
